MONDAY 2-2 -0.40 UNITS
Here we go!!!
10 Units Missouri -2 -105
Big X versus Big XII from St. Louis, Missouri. The Illini (R: 1-2 SU, ATS) who are shooting an impressive 48% from the field, have scored a couple of good wins early over Arkansas, Temple and Providence while putting together a (6-2 SU, 3-2 ATS) overall mark. Bookend forwards James Augustine and Roger Powell are the leaders for the Illini this season, averaging 14 and 12 ppg. Freshman guard Richard McBride will play a more prominent role during Deron Williams' absence with a broken jaw. He scored 22 points against Memphis Dec. 13 and was razor sharp in making 7-of-13 from the field. Mizzouris has plenty of offense and depth with center Arthur Johnson (15 ppg-8 rpg), power forward Travon Bryant (14 ppg), small forward Rickey Paulding (14 ppg) and guard Jason Conley (19 points in his first game the last time out) provide the aircraft carrier and the firepower to avenge last year's 85-70 loss to the Illini.
10 Units B.Y.U. -3 -108
The BYU Cougars (7-1 SU, 5-0 ATS) are allowing 61 ppg with a great frontcourt behind 6’-7” senior Mark Bigelow (12 points pg) and 6’-11” senior center Rafael Araujo (21 ppg, 11 rpg). Utah State (5-1) is playing even better defense, allowing 59 points per game and 42% shooting. But Utah State hasn't been tested much, and the only good team they played, Utah, they lost 56-45 and failed to cover. Utah State has a good frontcourt of 6’-8” junior forward Spencer Nelson (10 ppg, 6.7 rpg) and 6'-7" sophomore Nate Harris, and their leading scorer is 6'-4" senior Cardell Butler (14 ppg). BYU won 66-56 and covered a year ago over Utah State and they have the talent to win again.
